BATTLE MOUNTAIN 2 SET UP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove contents from stu sack and lay on ground.

2. Stake out the body.

3. Assemble the poles: one poleset with two hubs, one pre-bent pole with two NR

joints and one pole with one NR joint. Be careful to insert each pole section into

the next by hand instead of allowing the shock cord to snap them together to

ensure each pole section is fully seated.

4. Position the main pole on top of the tent body, aligning it so that the hubs are

centered over the body and the ridge pole is parallel to the doors. Insert the

pole tips into the grommets located at the corners of the tent. Locate the H

clips in the middle of the tent, attach them to the disks on the bottom of the

hubs.

5. Attach the Twist Clips with orange webbing to the poles.

6. Take the pole with two NR joints position it over the front door, which is color

coded with black webbing at the corners and insert the tips of the pole into

the grommets of the black webbing on the side of the tent. Locate the H clips

above the door, attach them to the NR joints. Take the remaining pole, position

it over the back door, the one with orange webbing at the corners, and insert

the pole tips into the grommets of the black webbing on the side of the tent.

Locate the H clip above the door, attach it to the NR joint.

7. Attach the remaining clips to the poles. The carabiners should go over both

poles.

8. Drape the rainy over the tent aligning the black and orange webbing on the

y with the black and orange webbing of the tent body.

9. Make sure the webbing located at the corners of the rainy is completely slack-

ened. Attach the buckles on the rainy to those on the tent body.

10. Stake out the vestibules.

11. Evenly tension the webbing on each buckle as needed to keep the rainy taut.

12. Stake out all guy lines.

Separate 6”, large diameter pole segment included for emergency eld repair.

Slide repair pole over the break to act as a splint.

FAST FLY SET UP

If you purchase the optional Big Agnes footprint for your Battle Mountain tent, it will

enable you to pitch a shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly congu-

ration requires the footprint, rainy, poles and stakes.

1. Lay the footprint on the ground and stake out.

2. Assemble the poles: one poleset with two hubs, one pre-bent pole with two NR

joints and one pole with one NR joint. Be careful to insert each pole section into

the next by hand instead of allowing the shock cord to snap them together to

ensure each pole section is fully seated.

3. Position the main pole on top of the footprint, aligning it so that the ridge pole

is parallel to the front and back of the footprint. Insert the pole tips into the

corner grommets.

4. Take the pole with two NR joints position it across the front, the side with black

webbing at the corners, and insert the tips of the pole into the grommets of the

black webbing on the side of the footprint. Take the remaining pole, position it

across the back of the footprint, the side with orange webbing at the corners,

and insert the pole tips into the grommets of the black webbing on the side of

the footprint.

5. Drape the rainy over the poles aligning the black and orange webbing on the

y with the black and orange webbing on the footprint.

6. Ax the Velcro loops on the underside of the y around the corresponding

poles.

7. Make sure the webbing at the corners of the rainy is completely slackened.

8. Attach the buckles on the rainy to those on the footprint.

9. Stake out the vestibules.

10. Evenly tension the webbing on each corner as needed to keep the rainy taut.

11. Stake out all guylines.

Hoe kan ik een tent impregneren? Geverifieerd

Zet de tent op, reinig het doek en laat het drogen. Breng het impregneermiddel aan op het doek met een plantenspuit of andere spray. Het is ook mogelijk een nieuwe verfroller of kwast te gebruiken. Het doek dient helemaal verzadigd te worden met het impregneermiddel. Behandel ook de binnenkant van het doek. Veeg de ramen en andere onderdelen dan het tentdoek goed schoon met een vochtige doek. Laat het impregneermiddel hier niet op drogen. Laat vervolgens het tentdoek goed drogen. Herhaal indien nodig de behandeling.

Kan ik een scheur of gat in mijn tentdoek zelf repareren? Geverifieerd

Voor synthetisch tentdoek zijn er speciale stukken zelfklevend reparatiedoek verkrijgbaar. Plak aan beide zijden van het doek een stuk zelfklevend tentdoek over het scheurtje of gaatje. Gebruik voor katoenen tentdoek of tentdoek van gemengd materiaal opstrijkbaar tentdoek. Hiervoor heb je een strijkijzer nodig.

De rits van mijn tent loopt stroef, wat kan ik doen? Geverifieerd

Gebruik bij stroeve ritsen een droge PTFE spray of siliconenspray. Spray niet op de stof en spuit de ritsen af en toe preventief in om problemen in de toekomst te voorkomen.

Welke soort tentharingen heb ik nodig? Geverifieerd

Op gras- en bosgrond gebruik je halfronde of kunststof tentharingen. Op steengronden gebruik je rotspennen. Op kleigrond gebruik je halfronde, kunststof of universele tentharingen. Op kiezelgrond gebruik je halfronde of universele tentharingen. Op fijne zandgronden zoals duinen gebruik je houten tentharingen.

Het impregneermiddel laat witte vlekken of een witte waas achter op het doek, wat kan ik hier aan doen? Geverifieerd

Indien er een witte waas achterblijft of u witte vlekken ziet op uw tentdoek na het impregneren heeft u op die plekken meer impregneermiddel aangebracht dan elders. Dit is niet erg en de vlekken en waas verdwijnen vaak vanzelf. Het is niet verstandig minder impregneermiddel te gebruiken om vlekken of een waas te voorkomen. Het doek moet goed nat zijn van het impregneermiddel om een goede impregnatie te garanderen.
