A Multisol

Vitro PV laminate (= frameless PV module) is a quality product,

produced using high quality solar cells made of crystalline silicon. All materials

used have been carefully selected and processed to a robust double glass PV

laminate. That is why Multisol

Vitro laminates have an especially long life cycle.

It is important that the information provided below is observed. These

instructions should be read carefully and need to be fully observed before

installation, initial operation and during maintenance of photovoltaic systems

that use Multisol

Vitro laminates.

Danger! Risk of death or serious injury if not observed! It is crucial

therefore that any work performed on PV systems is carried out

exclusively by skilled professionals who have the respective training.

1. Laminate mounting

When installing Multisol

Vitro laminates, local building regulations and the relevant generally

accepted rules of technology must be adhered to at all times.

The rules as per EN 1991 (Eurocode 1) or DIN 1055 apply for structural safety. The applicable

latest version of regional standards and regulations should be adhered to. For this reason,

installation of the laminates should only be planned and implemented by skilled professionals

with respective training.

Distributed loads from wind, snow and tare weight will affect the laminates. These will be

carried by the glass of the laminate and the support structure. For this purpose, the laminates

must be mounted to a stable substructure using a suitable mounting system.

If relevant take into account the elasticity of the mounting structure.

A minimum spacing of 10 mm between the laminates should be considered.

In case of snow areas, it is advised to take measures against abrupt sliding of the snow.
