First Pitch

In order to familiarize yourself with your new tent, we

suggest that you “test pitch” it before embarking on your

wilderness adventure.

Select a Site

Look for a level spot that is protected from the wind in or-

der to ensure sleeping comfort. Clear the area of debris such

as sharp stones and sticks which might abrade or puncture

the tent floor. Also choose an area that will drain well when

it rains.

Unfurl the Tent and Assemble the Poles

Unfurl the tent and lay the tent floor flat on the ground

with the front door unzipped. Carefully unfold the shock

corded pole sections and allow them to slip together. Do

not allow the poles to snap together: This can lead to seri-

ous pole damage. Make certain that the insert of each pole

section is fully inserted into the next pole section (Figure

1). You will have one main pole where all sections are con-

nected by the Sierra Designs Quick Pitch Swivel Hub with

H-clip (Figure 3) and one short curved vestibule pole.

Stake Out the Tent Floor

The Anu 2 is a completely freestanding tent. It is not nec-

essary to stake down the tent floor in order to pitch it.

However, we recommend that the tent be staked down at

points A, B, C, and D (Figure 2) for stability, especially in

high winds.

Erect the Tent

Insert one of the metal tips of the two long poles into the

grommets at points A and D (Figure 2). Insert the metal

tips of the other long pole into the grommets at points B

and C. Next, connect the center H-clip at point G (Figure

3). Following the tent seams between points A-D, and B-C,

attach all of the Swift Clips

™

to their corresponding tent

poles. Now connect the Double Bend Brow Pole with the

two long poles by placing its ends into the Visor Connec-

tors at points E and F. Once the Double Bend Brow Pole is

in place, attach its Swift Clips to ensure proper setup.

Fly Sheet

Drape the fly sheet over the tent and position the vestibule

over the tent door making sure that the blue side-release

“fly clip” buckle straps match with the corresponding fly

& floor attachments. First, attach the fly sheet to the tent

poles with the Velcro

®

loops on the underside of the fly

sheet at points H, I, J, K, and L (Figure 4). At points

A, B, C, and D there are ¾” side-release “fly clip” buck-

les (Figure 5). Clip these buckles into their corresponding

mates on the tent floor and pull the straps until the fly

sheet is taut. Now, with the vestibule zipped shut, pull out

points M and N until the vestibule is taut and stake

it down in that position.

Ventilation

With the fly sheet on, airflow can be increased by guying

out the fly sheet away from the tent walls at points O, P,

and Q. Note that the vestibule door can also be folded back

and secured in an open position. There is also a two-way

zipper on the vestibule door which allows you to have ade-

quate ventilation during inclement weather. As a courtesy, 6

tent stakes and 2 guy cords were provided with this tent. If

you choose to use more than this when pitching your tent,

additional stakes and cord may be purchased at the store

you originally purchased the tent.
