Congratulations! With your purchase you have decided on a high-quality product. Get to know the

product before you start to use it. Carefully read the following operating instructions. Use the pro-

duct only as described and only for the given areas of application. Keep these instructions safe. When

passing the product on to a third party, always make sure that the documentation is included.

Intended Use

The product is designed for private use for mounting on standard tyres to drive on snow and ice.

Safety Note!

Risk of injury:

• Observe information and specific instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.

• The max. speed with snow chains is 50km/h (30mph).

• Snow chains should only be used in an emergency in order to improve driving conditions due to snow

and ice.

• When driving with snow chains please note that every vehicle reacts in a different manner. Therefore,

avoid braking and accelerating abruptly!

• Check the condition of the snow chains before every use. If there is heavy wear and tear (50% of new

condition), do not use the snow chains!

• Snow chains which break or crack while driving must be removed immediately.

• The snow chains may only be mounted on tyres that are listed in the tyre type list in these instructions!

• We recommend mounting the snow chains once when the weather is dry to practice for emergency

situations. This will ensure that the mounting in an emergency situation is easier.

• The chains wear quickly if driven on asphalt with no snow.

• When installing in public traffic wear an approved reflective vest.

• Observe Highway Code for towing.

• Components may break from heavy wear. Defective links must be replaced.

Mounting / removal of snow chains

Note! The vehicle tyres must not be removed in order to mount or remove the snow

chains! To simplify presentation, mounting and removal are depicted on a dismounted

tyre.

Changing defective chain lins

Note!

Universal pliers are necessary for repairs.

Replace the snow chain as soon as possible after repairs.

If individual chain links are damaged, these can be replaced. The snow chain accessories include 2

replacement links for the main chain (silver) and 2 replacement links for the side chain (yellow). The red

pull chain may not be repaired. First, remove the broken chain link. Connect the two open ends of the chain

with the help of the respective replacement link and press the replacement link together firmly. The opening

of the replacement link must be closed.

Maintenance, storage

Clean the snow chains after use with lukewarm water and let them dry completely before putting them

away in the storage box.

Disposal

Please dispose of packaging and product appropriately! Dispose the product at an approved disposal

centre or community disposal service.

3 Years Warranty

The product was produced with great care and under constant supervision. You receive a three-year war-

ranty for this product from the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt.

The warranty applies only to material and workmanship and does not apply to misuse or improper hand-

ling. Your statutory rights, especially the warranty rights, are not affected by this warranty.

With regard to complaints, please contact the following service hotline or contact us by e-mail. Our ser-

vice employees will advise as to the subsequent procedure as quickly as possible. We will be personally

available to discuss the situation with you.

Any repairs under the warranty, statutory guarantees or through goodwill do not extend the warranty

period. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.

Repairs after the warranty are subject to a charge.

Tyre Type List

Step 1

Lay the chain on the floor and spread it out flat. The

yellow bar must be on the left side.

Step 4

Now, hook the red hook in the end of the yellow chain.

Step 1

Stop your cars so that the outer red hook is at the upper

portion of the tyre.

Step 2

Unhook the elastic band and pull the tension chain out of the red ring.

Then run the tension chain out through the self-locking slide.

Step 2

Run the yellow chain end from left to right behind the tyre.

Step 3

Pull the blue and yellow chain ends up and hook the ends.

Step 5

Pull the blue and yellow coated chain parts towards

the inside of the tyre. The chain part must not be on the

tread.

Step 6

Run the red tension chain over the self-locking slide and

then through the red ring.

Step 7a

If the yellow lateral chain is too long and can’t be tautened with the tension chain,

loosen the yellow chain by one link at the upper connection. Hook the red hook

into the 2nd link. Then tighten the chain using the red tension chain.

Step 7b

Is the tension chain is too long to hook it into the yellow chain whilst taut? Simply use the included

ring to turn the tension chain once more (see Fig. 7b). The position where to hook the ring into the

yellow chain depends on the remaining length of the tension chain. Now guide the tension chain

through the red ring and the additional ring before tightening it and hooking it into the yellow chain.

Note: Unhooking is easier for vehicles with front wheel drive through turning the wheels. Unhook the

connection between the blue and yellow coated chain parts, and pull the red hook at the end of the yellow chain part. Clean

the snow chains after use with lukewarm water and let them dry.
