Sort and load the laundry

Adding detergent and care products

Measure accordingly:

Amount of laundry, level of soiling, water hardness (ask your water supply company) and

manufacturer's instructions.

Models without insert for liquid detergent:

Pour liquid detergent into the appropriate dispenser and place in the drum.

During operation: Open the detergent drawer with care.

Environmental protection / savings tips

– Always fill the washing machine with a maximum amount of laundry for the relevant

programme.

– Wash normally soiled laundry without a prewash.

– The selectable temperatures apply to the care labels on the textiles. The

temperatures in the machine may deviate from this so that you get the optimum mix

of energy-saving and washing results.

– Measure the detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions and water

hardness.

– If the laundry is then dried in the tumble dryer, select the spin speed according to

the instructions of the dryer manufacturer.

– Keep pets away from the washing machine.

Dilute thick fabric softener and conditioner with water.

This prevents blockages.

Cancel the programme

For programmes at high temperatures:

– Allow laundry to cool: Select Rinse/Spin .

– Press $ (Start/Add laundry).

For programmes at low temperatures:

– Select  Rinse/Spin (deactivate the Super button) or select

> Empty.

– Press $ (Start/Add laundry).

Change the programme if...

... you have selected the wrong programme by mistake:

– Reselect the programme.

– Press $ (Start/Add laundry). The new programme starts from the

beginning.

... $ (Start/Add laundry) pressed and then §lights up in the display

panel. If ǯ is lit, the washing machine door cannot be opened.

Press the $ (Start/Add laundry) button.

Options button (Finished in)

When you select a programme, the relevant programme duration is displayed. You can delay the start of the

programme before it begins. The "Finished in" time can be set in increments of one hour up to a maximum of 24 hours.

Press the (Finished in) button repeatedly until the desired number of hours is displayed (h = hour). Press

Start/Add laundry. It is not possible to make adjustments once the programme has started.

Options button  (spin speed in rpm) / c(Rinse hold = no final spin)

You can change the spin speed shown or select  (Rinse hold = no final spin, laundry remains in the water after the

last rinse, display panel – – –). The maximum selectable spin speed depends on the model and on which programme

is currently selected.

ĈSpeed Perfect

For washing in a shorter time with a washing result comparable to that of the standard

programme. Maximum load aOverview of programmes, page 7.

ćEco Perfect

For saving energy with a washing performance comparable to that of the standard

programme.

S(Easy-Iron) Special spin sequence with subsequent fluffing. Gentle final spin at reduced speed.

Residual moisture in the laundry is increased slightly.

Super Additional rinse cycle. For areas with very soft water or for further improving the washing

result.

Childlock

ª¥in the display panel You can lock the washing machine to prevent the functions you have set from being

changed inadvertently.

To activate: after the programme has started, press and hold $ (Start/Add laundry)

for approx. 5 seconds. ª¥ appears for approx. 5 seconds in the display panel, then the

"Finished in" time is shown again in the display panel.

To deactivate: press and hold $ (Start/Add laundry) for approx. 5 seconds.

Note:

If a button is pressed when the Childlock is active, ª¥ lights up for approx. 5s, then the

"Finished in" time is displayed again.

ª¥lights up continouously if the programme selector is adjusted when the Childlock is

active.

Add laundry

§in the display panel If you want to add additional items of laundry after the programme has started, press

$ (Start/Add laundry). The machine checks whether adding laundry is possible.

§ lights up: Adding laundry is possible.

ǯflashes: Wait until § lights up.

Note: Do not open the washing machine door until § lights up.

ǯ: Adding laundry is not possible.

Note: If the water level and/or the temperature is high or if the machine is spinning, the

washing machine door remains locked for safety reasons.

To continue the programme, press the $ (Start/Add laundry) button.

Energy saving mode

The illumination of the display panel goes out after a few minutes and $ (Start/Add laundry) flashes.

To activate the illumination, press any button.

For starting the programme, adding laundry, and for activating/deactivating the Childlock.

Open the washing machine door and remove the laundry.

If (Rinse hold = no final spin) active:

Turn the programme selector to >Empty or select a spin speed. Press

$ (Start/Add laundry).

– Remove any foreign objects - risk of rusting.

– Leave the washing machine door and detergent drawer open

so that any residual water can dry away.
