SAFETY FIRST SPECIFICATIONS

Do not cover - Use your hairdryer in a

well-ventilated area. Do not use where

flammable liquids are used or stored.

Do not use in very dusty areas as dust

may accumulate on the heating elements

and cause overheating.

Keep clear of flammable objects -

Make sure that the plug is always

accessible. Point the hairdryer into the

centre of the room and away from curtains,

furniture, or wall coverings. Do not rest the

hairdryer on deep pile carpets. Keep the

hairdryer mains cord clear of the hairdryer.

Do not use in the bath, shower or

near a swimming pool - Do not use

your hairdryer anywhere where it could be

splashed by water or fall into water. When

used in a bathroom, unplug after use since the

proximity of water presents a hazard even when

the hairdryer is switched off. For additional

protection the installation of a Residual

Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual

operating current not exceeding 30mA is

advisable in the electrical circuit supplying

the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.

Do not allow young children to play

with your hairdryer - Do not allow

objects to be inserted into the air intake

and output grills.

Do not leave unattended - Switch off

and unplug the hairdryer when not in use

and do not stand your hairdryer nearer

than 15cm to any flamable object.

Do not operate the hairdryer with a damaged cord or plug

or after the hairdryer malfunctions, has been dropped or

damaged in any manner. If the power cord becomes

damaged, it must be replaced by your service agent.

The wires in your hairdryer mains lead are coloured in accordance with the

following:-

The wire which is coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal in the

plug which is marked with the letter N or coloured Black.

The wire which is coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal in

the plug which is marked with the letter L or coloured Red.

The wire which is coloured Green & Yellow must be connected to the

terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the Earth

symbol or coloured Green or Green & Yellow.

You must use a 13 amp plug

(BS 1363)

, and fit a 13 amp fuse

(BS 1362)

.

If any other type of plug is used a 13 amp fuse must be fitted, either in the

plug, adaptor or at the distribution board.
