• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisproduct should not be used by anyone
that has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed
in its use by someone who will take responsibility for their safety. Neverlet
children play with theproduct.
• Keep children away from thepackaging materials. Choking hazard.
• Theproduct should not be used if it is in any way damaged or malfunctioning.
• Never attempt to modify theproduct in anyway.
• Any repairs should only be carried out by qualified service technicians.
Electrical safety
Warning for anelectrical shock hazard.
• Do not use theproduct if it is missing parts or if its housing has
been damaged in anyway.
• Do not place theproduct where there is arisk of it falling into water or other
types of liquid.
• Theproduct should only be connected to a220−240 V, 50 Hz electrical outlet.
• Outdoor use of theproduct requires that any wall socket used be equipped
with amax 30 mA RCD. ChecktheRCD before eachuse. Useof anRCD
reduces therisk of electricshock.
• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Neveruse theproduct if
themains lead or plug is damaged.
• If themains lead has been damaged, it must only be replaced by
themanufacturer, authorised service facility or qualified tradesman.
Thisis to prevent therisk of electric shock orfire.
• Never touch themains plug if your hands are moist orwet.
• Always grip theplug when unplugging theproduct, never pull themainslead.
• Never carry or hang theproduct by its mainslead.

• Place theproduct in astanding position after use and let it cool sufficiently
before putting it away for storage.
• Do not leave theproduct unsupervised when it is connected to anelectrical socket.
• Never cover theproduct when it is connected to anelectrical socket.
• Never expose theproduct to rain or moisture.
• Always disconnect themains lead from thewall socket when you have
finished work or when theproduct is not beingused.
• Unplug theproduct and let it cool completely before putting it away for storage.
• Both theglue and nozzle become very hot duringuse. Thiscan cause burn
injuries. Rinse any burn with cold water and keep it under running water for
sometime.
• Only use glue sticks specifically designed for this product.
• Always place theproduct on its stand when it is not inuse.

Application
This glue gun can be used for gluing wood, paper, cardboard and certain plastic
materials.

• Plug theglue gun into anelectrical socket and rest it on its stand (7) for
3–5minutes to let it reach operating temperature.
Gluing
Use respiratory protection.
Warning: Burnhazard. Themolten adhesive and nozzle
reach temperatures of up to 200 °C. Avoidall skin contact
with thenozzle (1) and molten adhesive whilst working.
1. Grip theglue gun by thehandle (4) and insert aglue stick into thehole (2) at
therear of thegun.
2. Squeeze thetrigger (6) afew times until thefeed mechanism has gripped
thegluestick.
3. Gently squeeze thetrigger to apply molten adhesive to thesurfaces to be
glued together.
4. Release thetrigger and squeeze it again if thetrigger was squeezed all
theway in before you had finished applying glue to thecontact surfaces.
5. Release thetrigger when thesurfaces have been coated withglue.
6. Immediately press thesurfaces together and hold them in position for
15seconds.
7. Let any excess glue cool and remove it with asharpknife.
8. Unplug theglue gun from thewall socket to switch thegunoff.
9. Rest theglue gun on its stand to cool completely before putting itaway.
Warning: Donot attempt to remove theglue stick from thegluegun.

Care and maintenance
• Always unplug theproduct from thewall socket before cleaning
• Clean theproduct using alightly moistenedcloth. Useonly mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed
of with general householdwaste. Thisapplies throughout
theentire EU. Inorder to prevent any harm to theenvironment
or health hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal,
theproduct must be handed in for recycling so that thematerial
can be disposed of in aresponsible manner. Whenrecycling
your product, take it to your local collection facility or contact

Preparations
• Keep thework area clean and welllit.
• Clean thecontact surfaces. Thesurfaces should be dry and clear of dust or
grease. Smooth surfaces should be roughed before gluing.
