Automatic Shut Off
The BackPleaser has been designed for convenience and
safety. As a special precaution against falling asleep while
using the unit, or leaving the unit on while it is still in
operation, we've programmed it to automatically stop
massaging 15 minutes after receiving your last command.
To reactivate the massager, simply press any button. Any
time you change massage functions, the timer will reset.
This special feature should not be considered as a
substitute for OFF. Always remember to turn your unit off
when not in use.
Instructions for Use
For Use in Home or Office
Plug adaptor into a 120 volt AC outlet and plug the receptacle
end into the input jack, located along the side of the
cushion. Attach BackPleaser to most chairs for a luxurious
massage as you read, rest or even work. See pages 6-7 for
instructions on the use of the hand control.
For Use in Your Car
Simply plug the 12 volt auto adaptor into a cigarette outlet and
plug the receptacle end into the input jack, located along the
side of the cushion. Slip BackPleaser’s straps over your seat to
enjoy a relaxing massage as you drive. See pages 6-7 for
instructions on the use of the hand control.
Strapping System
BackPleaser incorporates a unique strapping system which
allows you to fasten it to almost any chair or auto seat. Just slip
the straps over the seat or chair and adjust the hook and loop
straps to secure. Use plastic hooks provided to secure to chair.
Your massager won’t slip or slide away.
Maintenance
To Store Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool
place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects which
might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage, DO
NOT wrap the power cord around the unit. DO NOT hang the
unit by the controller cord.
To Clean Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before
cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge. Never
allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.
• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene,
glass/furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
• Do not attempt to repair BackPleaser massager. There are no
user serviceable parts. For service, send the unit to the
HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.
