Thank you for purchasing this Sony Compact

Disc Player. You can enjoy your drive with the

following functions.

• CD playback

You can play CD-DA (also containing CD

TEXT*

), CD-R/CD-RW (MP3 files also

containing Multi Session (

page 35)) and

ATRAC CD (ATRAC3 and ATRAC3plus

format (

page 36)).

• Radio reception

–You can store up to 6 stations per band (FM1,

FM2, FM3, MW and LW).

–BTM (Best Tuning Memory): the unit selects

strong signal stations and stores them.

• RDS services

You can use FM station with Radio Data

System (RDS).

• Sound adjustment

–EQ7: You can select an equalizer curve for 7

music types.

–DSO (Dynamic Soundstage Organizer):

creates a more ambient sound field, using

virtual speaker synthesis, to enhance the

sound of speakers, even if they are installed

low in the door.

–BBE MP: improves digitally compressed

sound such as MP3. For details, see the

following explanation.

• Image setting

You can set various display images.

–Pre-stored images: Wallpaper, Space

Producer, Movie, etc.

–User storing images: A maximum of 100

images can be stored from the optional

device.

• Optional unit operation

You can also control CD/MD changers, Sony

portable devices and the DVD navigation

system NVX-HC1*

in addition to this unit.

*1 A CD TEXT disc is a CD-DA that includes

information such as disc, artist and track name.

*2 When the NVX-HC1 is connected, some

operations and display items are different. For

details, see the operating instructions supplied with

the NVX-HC1.

Warning if your car’s ignition has no

ACC position

After turning the ignition off, be sure to press

and hold (OFF) on the unit until the display

disappears.

Otherwise, the display does not turn off and

this causes battery drain.

This label is located on the bottom of the

chassis.

The BBE MP process

improves digitally

compressed sound, such as

MP3, by restoring and enhancing the higher

harmonics lost through compression. BBE MP

works by generating even-order harmonics from

the source material, effectively recovering

warmth, detail and nuance.

Er zit een CD vast in mijn autoradio, wat moet ik doen? Geverifieerd

Sommige autoradio's hebbeneen functie om geblokkeerde CD's uit te werpen. Zet de auto uit en houd de 'aan' en 'eject' knop van autoradio gedurende 10 seconden tegelijk ingedrukt. Mocht dit niet werken, start dan de auto en probeer het nog eens.

Wat is het verschil tussen FM en AM? Geverifieerd

FM en AM zijn beide vormen van modulatie waarmee een signaal kan worden verzonden. FM staat daarbij voor Frequency Modulation en AM staat voor Amplitude Modulation. AM is de oudste vorm van modulatie. Het grootste verschil is dat het FM signaal vele malen beter is dan het AM signaal.

Welk formaat autoradio past bij mijn auto? Geverifieerd

Er zijn twee standaard formaten autoradio, 1-DIN en 2-DIN. 1-DIN is de standaard smalle variant en 2-DIN is twee keer zo hoog. Bij 2-DIN autoradio's is vaak ruimte voor een scherm waaro navigatie kan worden weergegeven of films kunnen worden afgespeeld.

Mijn Sony autoradio geeft 'ERROR 99' of 'E99' aan, wat betekent dit? Geverifieerd

Deze errors worden veroorzaakt door fluctuerende stroomvoorziening. Als de autoradio een 'RESET' knop heeft, kan deze ingedrukt worden om de error te verhelpen. Mocht het probleem zich blijven voordoen, neem dan contact op met de fabrikant.
