Notes
•If the hanger is pulled directly, it may break. Pull from the base of the hanger.
•Do not twist the base of the hanger, as it may break.
•Do not pull at an angle when removing the cable, as removal may be difficult.

Wear the headphone placing the hanger behind the ear.
Hold the headphone, and curve the hanger into an ear shape beforehand.

Adjust the angle of the headphone to fit snugly.

Features
•HD Hybrid 3-way Driver System
HD Hybrid 3-way driver system composed of a 16 mm dynamic driver unit and two
Balanced Armature driver units (full-range + magnesium HD super tweeter). The
system reproduces atmospheric musical nuances that are characteristic of high
resolution audio.
•Linear Drive Balanced Armature
The symmetric armature and direct-drive structure improves the linearity of
mechanical vibration to deliver clear midrange and high-frequency sound.
•Magnesium HD Super Tweeter
Magnesium diaphragm provides an accurate reproduction of ultra-high frequencies
of high resolution audio.
•Aluminium-coated LCP for Dynamic Driver
Thin-film aluminium coated LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) made into shape which is
highly compliant, leading to less sound colouration and clear midrange and bass.
•Full-magnesium Housing
Thinnest-possible high-rigid magnesium housing, and the unification of dynamic
driver and housing reduces size to improve wearing comfort. The high internal loss
of magnesium prevents unnecessary vibrations to reproduce a crystal clear sound.
•Beat Response Control
Ultrafine acoustic load tube at the back of the dynamic driver optimizes diaphragm
movement. Beat Response Control improves the transient characteristic in bass
sound and delivers the rhythm accurately.
•Network Circuit for High-quality Sound
Film capacitor in the network circuit connected to magnesium HD super tweeter
minimizes vibrations and electrical interference, and enables delicate high
frequencies.
•Detachable Cable
A normal headphone cable and a balanced-connection headphone cable are
supplied. By connecting to Sony Portable Headphone Amplifier PHA-3 (sold
separately) that supports balanced output, balanced connection can be made.
•Freely-adjustable Ear Hanger
Using the shape-memory resin Teknorote® as the core, the silicone-covered ear
hanger provides a flexible, superior, and stable fit to each ear.
•L/R ground separated cable for cross talk reduction
•Silver-coated OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) strands to reduce the transmission signal
loss
•Foamed Silicone Earbuds
Stable fitting and high isolation from ambient noise with foamed silicone inside the
earbuds.

About foamed silicone earbuds
Supplied foamed silicone earbuds provide a snug fit for effective attenuation of
ambient noise.
Notes
•Prolonged use of snugly fitting earbuds may strain your ears. If you experience
discomfort, discontinue use.
•The foamed silicone portion of the earbuds is very fragile. If it is damaged, the
earbuds may not sit correctly in your ears, and noise isolation may be affected.
•The foamed silicone may deteriorate or harden over time, and noise isolation may
be affected.
•Do not subject the foamed silicone portion to pressure over long periods, as it may
cause deformation.
Removing the headphones
After use, remove the headphones slowly.
Note
Headphones are designed to fit closely in your ears. If the headphones are pressed
hard while in use or taken off too quickly, they may cause injury.
Wearing headphones may produce a diaphragm click sound. This is not a
malfunction.
Precautions
High volume may affect your hearing. For traffic safety, do not use
while driving or cycling.
Install the earbuds firmly. If an earbud accidentally detaches and is left
in your ear, it may cause injury.
Keep earbuds clean. To clean the earbuds, wash them with a mild
detergent solution.
•Do not leave the stereo headphones in a location subject to direct sunlight, heat or
moisture.
Note on static electricity
Static electricity accumulated in the body may cause mild tingling in your ears.
To minimise the effect, wear clothes made from natural materials.

Do not close the case forcibly without winding up the cable. Otherwise, the cable may
