Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Solution
The cutting unit continuously
keeps on running in the “AUTO”
position.
The paper container is full and
the paper from the cutting unit
cannot feed through.
Unplug the mains plug and
empty the container.
After shredding, there are still
pieces of paper remaining in the
cutting unit.
The remaining pieces of paper
are stuck between blades.
Slide the selector switch into
the “ON CD REV” position.
The automatic feed stops,
however there is still paper in the
insertion slot.
The paper was inserted into the
insertion slot at an angle.
Ensure the paper is straight as
it goes into the insertion slot.
The paper is too soft, thin, damp
or creased.
Fold, dry or atten the paper.
The device does not work,
although no pieces of paper
remain in the feeder.
The motor is overheated.
Leave the device to cool down
before putting it into operation
again.
