Plug the time switch (without any device plugged in!) into a suitable mains socket (with a protective earth
conductor). The product must only be used indoors or in sheltered outdoor areas (for example
under a roof projection, in a garage etc.).
The time switch must only be operated in sheltered outdoor areas in the following
position: The socket must be on top, the wheel for setting the time at the bottom. Both
covers must open upwards.
Top
Bottom
Setting the time
Lift the transparent cover with one hand. Turn the outer ring with the hours printed on it clockwise with
other hand until the arrow on the inner ring shows the current time. Close the cover.
Now turn the setting ring clockwise, it can be moved easily. It is not possible to turn the
ring counter-clockwise, do not force it! This would ruin the time switch.
The time switch only works when it is supplied with electricity, i.e. when it is connected to an active mains
socket.
Setting the on/off times
You can set the times for switching the connected device on and off with the 48 segments (2 per hour)
in a 30-minutes raster. A segment pressed down activates the socket (voltage on, connected device on),
a segment pushed upwards or pulled out switches the socket off (no voltage, the connected device is
off).
Example: If you wish a lamp to be switched on between 10 and 11 p.m., press the two segments between
22:00 and 23:00 downwards. All the other segments must be pulled out.
Due to the design of time switch (mechanical drive and switching operation) there may
be deviations between the switching time and the clock time. Deviations of a few minutes
are normal!
Connecting a device to the time switch
Lift the cover of the socket.
Plug in the device (insert the plug completely!).
The maximum connected load of 3680 W (230V~, 16A, only resistive load) must not be
exceeded.
If the time switch is used in a sheltered outdoors area, only a mains plug of at least
protection class IP44 may be plugged into the time switch.
Maintenance and care
The product does not require any maintenance. You should never open it or take it apart.
Before you clean the product, remove it from the mains socket, and disconnect any connected loads from
the time switch.
Clean the time switch with a dry, clean and soft cloth only. Never use aggressive cleansing agents or
chemical solutions since this might damage the surface of the housing or impair the function.
For stronger contamination, you can moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water. Never immerse the
time switch under water!
Let the time switch dry up completely before using it again. Otherwise there is danger of
a life-threatening electric shock!
Disposal
Electric and electronic products must not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life according to the relevant legal
provisions and regulations (e.g. return it to a special recycling facility of your town).

Safety instructions
In case of any damages which are caused due to failure to observe these operating
instructions, the guarantee will expire! We do not assume any liability for resulting
damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper use or the failure to observe the safety instructions. Your guarantee will
expire in any such case!
The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmis-
sible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
The design of the product complies with the safety class I. As a voltage source only
a proper power socket (230V~/50Hz) of the public power supply system with protective
conductor may be used. Never interrupt the ground wire - danger of a life-threatening
electric shock!
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! Be especially
careful when children are around. Children might try to put objects through the
openings of the socket for example. This could cause a life-threatening electric shock!
Protection class ”IP44” means that the product is protected against direct contact with
live parts or internal movable parts, with tools, wires etc. of a diameter greater than 1
mm. (Exception: openings for the entry of mains plug contacts); it is also protected
against splash water.
For this reason no direct water jet (for example from a garden hose or watering
systems) must be directed to the product.
Operate the product indoors or in a sheltered outdoor area, for example under a roof
projection or in a garage. Do not expose the product directly to rain or snow. Otherwise
there is danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
Never block the cover over the socket nor the transparent cover over the time switch.
Allow the covers to close automatically and completely by means of the integrated
springs when not in use.
If devices, connection or extension cables are to be kept outdoors (lamps, water
pumps etc.), they must be suitable for outdoor use. Observe the respective operating
instructions.
Never overload the product. The connected load must not exceed 3680 W (only
resistive load).
Do not plug a wet or damp mains plug into the socket of the product, otherwise there
is the danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
Never pull the cable of the connected device to disconnect it from the socket. Only pull
the plug from the integrated socket by the gripping area provided on the side and
remove it from the time switch (lift the cover on the time switch socket before).
When it is raining/snowing do not open the covers (for the socket and the time switch),
do not connect or disconnect any device. This could cause a life-threatening electric
shock!
Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become dangerous playing
material for children!
Handle the product with care and do not drop it; knocks, blows or even a fall from a low
height can damage it.
If the housing of the product is damaged, do not use the product any more!
When it is connected to the mains, neither touch the time switch nor the connected
device. First switch off the mains socket to which the time switch is connected (i.e.
switch off the circuit breaker). Then you can remove the time switch from the mains
socket. Then you can remove the respective device from the time switch. Bring it to a
specialized workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way
