PRODUCT FEATURES

Lucy responds to up to 15 different voice com-

mands. She barks, sniffs, moves, and can even

give kisses and do handstands. You can call her

whatever you like so that she will answer to you.

She also has two buons for activating some of

her actions.

OPERATION WITH BATTERIES

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

NOTE FOR ADULTS

Before giving the product to children, first

remove all plastic, wires and any other object

designed to fasten it during transport.

This product comes factory-prepared for the

“TRY ME” function. The baeries that it in

-

cludes are designed for this use. Therefore, it

is possible that they may be spent. If this is the

case, we recommend they should be replaced.

The product is distributed in its original

packaging and for demonstration purposes

in stores with the selector switch in the TRY-

ME position (see fig. 1). The product has

limited functionality in this position and will

not respond to any voice commands. Turn the

switch to the ON position for normal operation.

Replacement and installation

This product requires four LR6 (AA) 1.5V alka-

line baeries (included). Firstly, open the velcro

closure and set the switch to the OFF position

(see fig. 1). Remove the safety screw from the

lid of the baery compartment located at the

boom of the base (see fig. 2). Remove the dead

baeries. Notice the correct placement of the

baeries in the image (see fig. 2) and place them

according to the position and polarity indicated.

Replace the lid and the safety screw (for your

children’s safety) and finally close the velcro

closure.

Warning! Replacing or handling the baery

should always be done under the supervision

of an adult.

Operation

With the switch in the ON position, follow these

steps if you want to record another name that

you prefer for the dog besides “Lucy”:

1) Press the dog’s le ear (A) (see fig. 3). She will

bark once.

2) Say the name that you prefer for her. For ex-

ample: “Lucy”. She will bark twice.

3) Then repeat her new name to her. For beer

voice recognition, use a different tone of voice

or intonation until she barks twice. If she does

not bark twice, repeat her name again until she

does.

4) Lastly, repeat the same name. Use a different

intonation this time, too, if you prefer, until she

barks once. If she does not bark once, repeat

her name again until she does.

Now she can recognise the name you have giv-

en her.

Voice commands or orders:

To give voice orders, first say the name that

you recorded previously so that she will listen

to you (for example, “Lucy”). If she has under-

stood you, she will bark once. You must wait

for her to stop barking before saying one of the

following voice orders to her. If she does not

recognise your voice order, repeat her name,

wait for her to bark and say the order to her

again. Remember that Lucy cannot hear you

while she is making sounds or moving. So that

she can understand you beer, there should

not be too much noise around you when you

give the voice orders.

The dog includes two buons (see fig. 3) for

performing certain actions directly without

voice commands. One of them is located on

her back (B) and, pressing while playing with

her makes Lucy whine sadly and the other, on

her nose, (C) activates the function of sniffing

while playing.

Energy saving mode

If you do not play with Lucy for a few seconds

if she does not receive any command or order

she will lie down, whine and finally fall sleep. All

the buons work to wake Lucy up if she has

fallen asleep. Aer playing with her, we recom-

mend that you turn the switch to the OFF posi-

tion so that she is completely turned off.

Tips for proper use

Troubleshooting

Lucy not responding, a decrease in the volume

of the sound, and erratic movement are symp-

toms of dead baeries; they must be replaced.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning: Only wash the surface of the prod

-

uct by hand. Remember that there are mech-

anisms and electronic circuits inside it which

could be damaged when in contact with water.

Use a cloth slightly dampened with water or

dry foam, if necessary, and then dry immedi

-

ately with a dry cloth or leave it to dry indoors,

without exposing to sunlight or direct heat

sources. Do not use detergents or solvents.

Do not use it until it is completely dry. If

the equipment becomes wet, turn it off and

remove the baeries immediately. Dry the

baery compartment with a dry cloth. Leave

the baery compartment open until it is

completely dry. If you wish, use a hairdryer to

speed this process up. Do not try to use the

unit until it is completely dry.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RESPONSIBLE

USE AND FOR PROTECTING THE

ENVIRONMENT

Put all the transport packaging, cardboard,

plastic, etc, in the recycling containers in your

neighbourhood.

Use rechargeable baeries whenever possi

-

ble.

Remember to turn off the toy if you have fin

-

ished playing with it and take out the baeries

if you are not going to be using it again for a

long time.

If you no longer want the toy and it still works,

do not throw it away. Remember that other

people can still enjoy it, and find bodies or

associations that can give it to them.

At the end of the life span of this product, it

must not be disposed of as normal household

rubbish. It should be delivered to a collection

point for recycling electrical and electronic

devices. Consult the symbol on the product,

in the user manual or on the packaging for

more information.

The materials are recyclable in accordance

with their markings. If you recycle materials

or find ways to reuse old devices, you make

a considerable contribution to protecting the

environment.

Please consult the nearest recycling centre or

local authorities.

- Rechargeable baeries are to be removed

from the toy before being charged.

charged under adult supervision.

using alkaline baeries.
